When life has different plans...

As i sit here at my desk at 11 pm on a Saturday night, monitoring news, waiting for breaking news to happen and half wishing that it doesn't so that i can go home early ;) I think its time to streamline my thoughts into words.

Seven months ago this wasn't the case...my Saturday nights were spent at home watching movies or any of those Dramarama series (I still do that when i'm on the morning shifts). It didn't even cross my mind back then, that i will be here today well WORKING.

Now, if you think i m gonna let my emotions overflow into the self-pity drain then you are mistaken. This is not what this blog is about, it's more about how life can be a surprise package and move in the direction, well you never thought it would put you into.

That's what happened to me! From a "in slumber" print journalist to a "on my toes 24/7" online journalist was a major unplanned transition that i think i have ever faced in the 23 years of my "carefree" life.

So that i'm still very much in the same organsiation and still continue to be a journalist, What's the big deal one may ask? Hell no, no big deal over there, it's just that this move has made got me thinking...in fact it's taught me a lesson...which I would love to share—

"Life maybe about the choices you make, however, certain choices are already made by life or anyother cosmic energy that drives it for you. Which ones get fulfilled is only a matter of luck."

Le Penseur in me...

I have been accused a lot...by family, friends and foes. They accuse me of "Thinking"! Sounds rather bizarre?? I'm sure it does considering that thinking is something all of us are doing all the time even they themselves, otherwise how would we function??

But I'm guilty as charged!! I think, i think a lot...I think so much that I think about what I'm thinking and then analyze it even further until i dissect it to the minutest level of thinking that the brain can possibly achieve.

Let me clarify, this whole thinking business is not something that I tend to do on purpose...it just happens. Traditionally life has put me into situations that have made me think and not feel, as what probably others tend to experience. That's right, I think, not feel.

On other thought, keeping the comments of my self-confessed critics aside, and looking at it from my perspective...Thinking is therapeutic. If I stop thinking, I will lose the joy of thinking—the joy of reaching the minutest detail that a situation could bring forth.

I would be this person who would leap into things without weighing the pros and cons, without assimilating the valid information that might just save me from making a valuable decision for myself or others.

So here's to my prosecutors, who accuse me of "thinking too much"... 'I am what I am because of my thinking and will continue to do so'!

I rest my case.
